Social Prescribing Link Worker Support
Practice has a full time social prescribing link worker.
If you have some non-medical issues, it may be good idea to have an appointment with SPLW to get best support. You will most benefit if you have any housing issues, debt, social isolation, domestic violence, loss of job, family issues, financial worry and unemployment.

First contact Physiotherapist Clinic
First contact physiotherapist Clinic (FCP) is run by a qualified autonomous clinical practitioners who is able to assess, diagnose and treat most common musculoskeletal conditions such as back and joint pains and traumatic soft tissue injuries. They have developed advanced competencies to be able to request and interpret appropriate investigations.
You will be investigated appropriately if needed and can be referred to secondary care for specialist opinion.
First contact physiotherapist does not work as a traditional physiotherapists and will not be providing physical physiotherapy but will give appropriate physiotherapy instructions.

IAPT is the counselling service provided by NELFT. You can self refer by calling 0300 00 1554 option 3. You can access services online via the link below.
Counselling can be helpful for those experiencing physical, emotional or psychological problems such as bereavement, loss, low self esteem, stress, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression or abuse.

Family Planning
Your GP can offer comprehensive contraception, family planning and pre-conceptual advice. This is medical advice for people who are thinking of having a baby. The service is principally provided by your GP in a routine appointment. We do not offer Contraception hormone implant or insertion of IUCD ( Coil).
Vaccinations provide protection against serious diseases such as Flu, Whooping Cough, Chickenpox, Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis and Mumps. Anyone under the age of 25 will be offered Meningitis and MMR (Mumps, Measles & Rubella) once they are a registered patient of a the surgery. We offer patients practical advice and support in helping to control diabetes to help you find out things you don’t understand about the disease. Most people will have an annual review at the practice plus a eye test and sometimes diabetic clinic intervention. Click on the links below:
Our community based dietician is trained in all aspects of nutrition and health and holds a monthly clinic in the community by appointment only and will require a referral from the doctor. The Dietician can offer dietary advice for conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, coeliac disease, obesity and children.
Health Visitor Service
We have Health Visitors who visit families to give advice on health care to expectant mothers, new-born babies and children. Our practice works with parents and carers to provide support and information and regular checks on the under 5s.
