NHS 111 Service ~ 111
NHS 111 has been introduced to help make it easier for residents to access local health services, advice and information. People living in Barking and Dagenham can now call 111 when in need of medical help fast, but it isn’t a 999 emergency. 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and calls from landlines and mobile phones are free. www.nhs.uk/111

GP Hubs
GP Hubs provide same day, urgent appointments for all registered patients.
Appointments are available every weekday between 6.30pm and 10pm and 8am to 8pm on weekends.
You can call the service directly on 020 3770 1888 between 2pm and 9pm on weekdays and between 9am and 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays all year round for an appointment. NHS 111 can also book you into a GP hub if you need an urgent appointment.
The two GP hubs where the urgent appointments are available are at Broad Street Medical Centre in Dagenham, and Barking Community Hospital in Upney.

Blood tests

How to book a blood test for children under 12 years of age:
- Book via Swiftqueue – registration must be completed in full and confirmation of the booking received before attending.
- For those that do not have internet access, and also for children who have learning disabilities, call Children’s Outpatients on 01708 435289
- Children with special needs should only be booked on a Monday.
- Bloods for genetic testing should be booked before 11am and no genetic bloods on a Friday.
